LUX

Get started with LUX

LUX 0.1.0 is a public beta. You download one file, the launcher. LUX is not installed as a file on your PC. It is loaded into the game after your license is checked. Please read the terms first: third-party tools can put your game account at risk.

  1. Get a key

Choose a key on the pricing page and pay by card or with USDT. The key is shown on the order page right after payment.

  2. Download the launcher and enter the key

Download LUX.exe (you can rename the file) and run it. Enter the key once. It is remembered on this PC, stored encrypted, and checked every time the launcher starts.

  3. Start World of Warcraft

The launcher never starts the game. Start World of Warcraft yourself and wait for the login screen. Close the Battle.net app before you attach; the game keeps running without it.

  4. Click Attach to game

In the launcher, click Attach to game. After a successful attach the launcher closes itself. In the game, type /lux to open the LUX window. LUX keeps renewing the license by itself while you play.

Download the launcher

The launcher is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning the first time you run it. Check the SHA-256 below against the file you downloaded before you run it. Antivirus programs sometimes flag tools like this. If yours does, write to support@luaunlocker.com and we will help.

How to verify the file

  1. Download it only from this page.
  2. Open PowerShell in the folder with the file and run Get-FileHash .\LUX.exe -Algorithm SHA256. In Command Prompt use certutil -hashfile LUX.exe SHA256.
  3. Compare the result with the SHA-256 above. Case and spaces do not matter. If you renamed the file, use its new name in the command.
  4. Check the size too: it should be 65,935,114 bytes. If the values differ, do not run the file. Delete it and write to support@luaunlocker.com.

Requirements

  • Windows
  • World of Warcraft Retail, game client 12.1.0
  • An internet connection (the license is checked online)
  • One computer per key

Good to know

  • The launcher shows Checking license..., then License active (with lines such as Unlocker, 23h left) or License not active.
  • One key works on one computer. Several keys can be active at once, for example an unlocker key and a rotation key. The one that ends first never hides the others.
  • If the license ends or cannot be renewed, the game shows in red in chat: License expired or could not be renewed - LUX has stopped. Check your key and internet connection, then type /reload.
  • A protected rotation (.luxr) installed without a license shows: N rotation(s) installed but locked. Type /lux keys to enter a key. A small key box opens. After you enter a key, type /reload.
  • Protected rotations are .luxr files, downloaded from the same place as the launcher. They are encrypted and do nothing without a licensed key. None are published yet.
  • Rotation files and your own scripts go in C:\Users\Public\LUX\scripts. The launcher has an Open scripts folder link. Type /reload after you add or change a file.
  • Writing your own rotation? Copy example_rotation.lua and see the API documentation.

Buying a key

Pay by card (Stripe) or with USDT on the TRON network from the pricing page. Your key appears on the order page right after payment. Save it there: the order link is the only way to see it again. See what each key includes on the pricing page. Game client 12.1.0 is the one this release supports, as listed on the updates page.
