LUX vs Playing Assassination Rogue by Hand
· 5 min read
A rotation helper changes who makes the moment-to-moment decisions, not who plays the game. This is an honest split of what the LUX Assassination rotation takes over and what remains yours, based on what the rotation does today.
What the rotation decides
Every tick the rotation works through the same ordered list and acts on the first step that applies.
- Bleeds: refreshes Garrote and Rupture near the end of their duration
- Cooldowns: Deathmark and Kingsbane once both bleeds are active
- Upkeep: Slice and Dice, and poisons and stealth out of combat
- Spending: Envenom or Eviscerate at your minimum combo points
- Building: Mutilate, Ambush on a Blindside proc, and the optional builders you enable
- Defensives: Crimson Vial by default, the rest if you switch them on
What stays yours
You choose the target, when to pull and where to stand. The rotation does not enforce a talent build: it checks which spells you know and skips the rest. Turning toward the target and picking the nearest enemy are options, and both are off by default.
Consumables are yours too. The potion and Healthstone options use items you carry and name.
What it does not do yet
It plays a single target. AoE, interrupts, modifier-key actions and crowd control are implemented and marked Experimental. There is no line-of-sight check and no talent-string check yet, and no rotation exists for Outlaw or Subtlety.
What you gain, and what we do not promise
The rotation follows its list the same way every tick, so your attention is free for movement and the fight around you. We do not promise better damage or any particular result.
