Assassination Rogue Opener and Stealth in LUX

Poisons come first

Out of combat the rotation checks your poisons before anything else. You choose a lethal poison (Deadly, Instant or Wound), a second lethal poison (Deadly or Amplifying), a non-lethal poison (Crippling or Numbing) and a second non-lethal poison (Atrophic or Numbing). Each defaults to None, so nothing is applied until you pick. A poison is only applied if you know the spell.

Going into stealth

Stealth when out of combat is on by default. The rotation casts Stealth when it is available and you are not already stealthed, at most once a second. A second option casts Stealth right after you dismount, and a third dismounts you when a hostile target comes within 20 yards. Both of those are off by default.

Choosing an opener

While you are stealthed, with an attackable target in melee range, the rotation uses the opener you set. The default is Cheap Shot.

• Cheap Shot stuns the target and gives you combo points to start with.
• Garrote begins your bleed right away, and the bleed step of the rotation keeps it up after that.
• Ambush is a heavy opening hit that needs stealth.
• Sinister Strike is not a stealth ability. Used as the opener it works as a plain builder.
• None leaves the opening to you.

Sap while stealthed

Sap from stealth is off by default. When you turn it on you pick Around me or Focus. Around me Saps enemies near you that are not in combat, never your current target, and Focus Saps your focus target. This option is marked Experimental.

After the opener

Once you are in combat the rotation switches to its in-combat order: bleeds first, then cooldowns, Slice and Dice and finishers. See the priority guide for that part, and the settings guide for where each option lives.
